This is a good one. Over the past couple years I've had the pleasure to meet (and often interview) many of the best roller derby skaters on Earth. And one thing that I think they all have in common is that they are never totally satisfied. It's that drive to always get better that makes top tier athletes the best (along with tons of hard work and natural talent). ps. I gave out a heavy sigh that the Betties didn't pull out a victory in the season opener, too.
I so feel you on this one. I'm on a bouting team and I don't get into as many line ups as I would like during the bout. I know it just means I need to work harder and become a more valuable player but part of me thinks I never will, even though logically I know I improve on my skills constantly.

Another brilliant and poignantly honest comic, Victoria!

Thanks, everyone!
The crying frame was so reminiscent of the art in Judith Viorst's ALEXANDER AND THE NO GOOD, VERY BAD ... great misery!
